THE NORFOLK HOTEL

The Norfolk Hotel
is a Grade II listed building situated on the Esplanade with wide uninterrupted views of Weymouth beach.

Hotel Norfolk puts the best of Weymouth at your fingertips, making your stay both relaxing and enjoyable.

Weymouth is the perfect destination all year round as it has one of the sunniest climates in the country. Its Blue Flag winning beach is consistently recognised as one of the top ten beach destinations in Europe and it's easy to see why.

With beautiful golden sands sprinkled with deckchairs, safe shallow waters and pretty harbourside you certainly won’t be disappointed.

From sand sculptures to a magical underwater world of dazzling sea creatures, Weymouth has many delightful attractions.

A visit to the Nothe Fort is a must! Built by the Victorians to protect Portland Harbour - this unique attraction is a network of underground passages and is steeped in history.  Not only that it provides stunning views out towards Portland and over Weymouth Bay.

  • Visit to Sidmouth
  • Visit to Dorchester
  • Visit to Portland Bill
After pickups we travel to Weymouth for our 4 night stay at The Norfolk hotel.
We leave the hotel after breakfast and travel along the coast through Hardy Country to Sidmouth.

We spend the day exploring this unique World Heritage site on the Jurassic Coast.

Sat in the middle of spectacular countryside Sidmouth is home to beautiful beaches. Take some time to explore the town centre as well, rich in royal and architectural history, as well as discovering a great range of shops, cafe's and restaurants.
Today we have a morning visit to Dorchester and in the afternoon a scenic tour to Portland Bill; famous for its majestic lighthouse which has stood for the past 114 years.

Dorchester is not only Dorset’s county town but also the birthplace of famous author and poet Thomas Hardy. The town enjoys a rich history dating back as far as the Iron Age and is home to the Roman Town House, the finest example of its kind in Britain.

Portland is a part of Dorset like no other; wild, natural and ruggedly beautiful. This unique, tied island marks the southernmost point on the Jurassic Coast and is joined to the mainland by Chesil Beach. Its isolated location, quaint villages and rocky, coastal scenery give the island its own special atmosphere, perfect for exploring. Just four miles long by a mile-and-a-half wide at its broadest point, Portland is steeped in maritime history and heritage, there are museums, castles and not one but three lighthouses to explore.

Spend today at your leisure exploring all that Weymouth has to offer.

From the unique independent businesses throughout the town, to purpose-built attractions, your visit to Weymouth can be as action-packed or relaxed as you like.

Weymouth’s town centre is sandwiched between its award-winning, Blue Flag beach, and the historic working harbour.  Choose to sit and enjoy the sunshine on the harbour and watch the world go by, or explore the Jurassic Coastline with a boat trip out in the Bay.

We leave the hotel after breakfast to travel home.
