WEYMOUTH

Day, -

Weymouth is the perfect destination all year round as it has one of the sunniest climates in the country. Its Blue Flag winning beach is consistently recognised as one of the top ten beach destinations in Europe and it's easy to see why.

With beautiful golden sands sprinkled with deckchairs, safe shallow waters and pretty harbourside you certainly won’t be disappointed.

From sand sculptures to a magical underwater world of dazzling sea creatures, Weymouth has many delightful attractions.

A visit to the Nothe Fort is a must! Built by the Victorians to protect Portland Harbour - this unique attraction is a network of underground passages and is steeped in history.  Not only that it provides stunning views out towards Portland and over Weymouth Bay.

The Norfolk Hotel is a Grade II listed building situated on the Esplanade with wide uninterrupted views of Weymouth beach.

Hotel Norfolk puts the best of Weymouth at your fingertips, making your stay both relaxing and enjoyable.

Today we travel to Wareham in the morning.

Wareham is one of the few remaining Saxon walled towns in England. Explore the town’s 2000 years of history by taking a walk around the Wareham Walls to find out about Viking attacks, civil war skirmishes and gruesome executions! It is a pretty riverside town where the rivers Frome and Piddle meet.

And then in the afternoon we visit the seaside resort of Poole. Explore the historic quayside, host to visiting tall ships, fishing vessels and luxury motor yachts, before delving into the heart of the Old Town to discover more about this town’s links to its maritime past. Poole is also known for its links to pottery and you can still pick up a beautiful unique pottery gift or paint a memento of your own on the Quay.
Today we visit the lovely town of Sherborne.

Sherborne is without doubt one of the most beautiful towns in England. The charming, honey-coloured town is brimming with history and heritage and you're sure to be impressed by the array of beautiful buildings, including a magnificent Abbey, that make Sherborne so special.

This picture-perfect town boasts two castles; one romantic ruin and a delightful new castle with grounds designed by Lancelot 'Capability' Brown.
Spend today at your leisure exploring all that Weymouth has to offer.

From the unique independent businesses throughout the town, to purpose-built attractions, your visit to Weymouth can be as action-packed or relaxed as you like.

Weymouth’s town centre is sandwiched between its award-winning, Blue Flag beach, and the historic working harbour.  Choose to sit and enjoy the sunshine on the harbour and watch the world go by, or explore the Jurassic Coastline with a boat trip out in the Bay.

We leave the hotel after breakfast to travel home.
