Due to its mild, sunny climate the Isle of Wight has become a favourite destinations for holiday makers - the ideal place for a relaxing break!

The Isle of Wight is one of the smallest counties in England, separated from the mainland by just 4 miles.  It has many famous places to visit such as The Needles, the village of Godshill - with its pretty thatched tea shops and gift shops, and Osborne House - the summer retreat of Queen Victoria.  Plenty for you to explore!

Shanklin is the most charming of traditional seaside resorts with it’s glorious long wide sandy beach set against a backdrop of dramatic sandstone cliffs.

After pickups we travel to the Isle of Wight via the short ferry crossing of the Solent and onto the Ocean View hotel.
Today we travel to Osborne House, Queen Victoria's palatial holiday home.

Inside the house, get a glimpse into royal life as you explore the lavish state rooms and grand reception rooms lined with furnishings and artworks from the Royal Collection.

Osborne is famous for its selection of formal gardens containing rare and unusual plants. Enjoy the formal terrace gardens, visit the sheltered walled garden, admire the view of the Solent from the Palm Terrace or visit the charming childrens gardens and wild meadow which surround the Swiss Chalet.

Today we have an island tour via Yarmouth, Alum Bay and the Needles.

Sit back, relax and take in the beautiful scenery of the Isle of Wight.
Today we have a day at leisure in Shanklin to explore the area.

There are few locations on the Isle of Wight which boast such a tranquil and picturesque location.

The stunning tree-lined Shanklin Chine cuts its way from Shanklin Old Village to the sandy beach and Esplanade far below. There is a special monument to 40 Royal Marine Commando who trained in the Chine in preparation for the Dieppe landings in World War 2. Visitors can also learn about the role of the chine in the famous PLUTO (Pipeline Under The Ocean) which carried petrol to the Allied troops in France during the D-Day landings.
We leave the hotel after breakfast and travel home.
