After pickups we travel to Babbacombe for our stay at the Anchorage Hotel.

Visit to the lovely maritime city of Plymouth.

With its seafront lido, busy international port, and waterfront Barbican district, Plymouth’s maritime heritage takes centre stage, but head inland and the numerous museums, shopping malls, and arts venues reveal why it’s earned the title of Devon’s cultural capital.

Dive into the depths of Plymouth’s National Marine Aquarium, be immersed in the wonders of the National Marine Park and stroll through the cobbled streets of its picturesque old port, the Barbican.

From discovering Pilgrim life aboard the Mayflower to embracing the natural world, there’s many adventures to be had.

We travel to the lovely Devon town of Dartmouth where we take a boat trip.

In the afternoon we visit Totnes, a fascinating historical town which combines stunning countryside with independent shopping, local food & drink and interesting attractions.
Today we have a day at leisure in Babbacombe.

The main draw is the beach but other activities include tennis, bowls, golf, putting and swimming are all available in the small resort. Babbacombe has attractive gardens, a theatre, shops, restaurants and cafés plus the Babbacombe Downs cliff top promenade, which is the highest promenade in the country and part of the South West Coastal Path.

The small, sheltered beach, Oddicombe is popular for fishing, although access is quite steep. To make the journey down 240 feet down to the beach it is possible to travel on the Babbacombe Cliff Railway, which has been operating for almost eighty years.

Also, don't miss Babbacombe Model Village which has been open since 1963 and is a popular local tourist attraction. It now has some indoor displays making it an all weather attraction.
We leave the hotel after breakfast and travel home.
