Steeped in history, there are many visitor attractions that are connected to the town's fascinating past, such as the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, where you can learn about the famous explorer's life in the port town.

Other things to do in Whitby include visiting the Dracula Experience on the seafront, where you can be guided through the story and learn about its connection to the town.

A trip to Whitby would not be the same without climbing the 199 steps to Whitby Abbey, counting as you go, and exploring the beautiful ruins which tower over the town.
Today we travel to the seaside resort of Bridlington.
In Bridlington there really is something for everyone, glorious clean beaches, independent shops, great entertainment and amazing nature. Bridlington’s Pre-Roman harbour and characterful Old Town are must-sees for any history buff, being home to the beautiful Augustinian Priory, Bayle Museum and Harbour Heritage Museum.

Afterwards we stop at another seaside favourite - Filey, where there is a quieter pace of life.
The former fishing village is now a popular seaside destination with an historic promenade, beautiful Edwardian architecture and an impressive 5 mile sandy bay.

Day off today in Scarborough.
